Bee Swarm Simulator Beginner Guide (October 2026): 46 Bees, Hive Slots, Egg Odds, and a Starter Build
Quick Summary
  • Bee Swarm Simulator is Onett's incremental beekeeping sim. Your bees pull pollen out of fields, you convert pollen into honey, and honey pays for more bees and more hive space.
  • A hive holds 25 bees by default. You can buy 25 more slots at the Mountain Top Shop for a hard cap of 50, starting at 3 million honey and topping out at about 2.17 trillion.
  • There are 46 bee types spread across six rarities. Eggs are the main way to get them, and the odds swing hard by egg: a Basic Egg is 87 percent Basic Bee, while a Diamond Egg is 95 percent Legendary.
  • Since a September 2019 update you no longer need an empty hive slot to hatch an egg, which changes how you should spend early honey.
  • Eggs in the Robux Shop are blocked for players in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Australia because of local regulations.
The core loop, in plain terms

Every session in Bee Swarm Simulator runs the same four steps. Your bees fly out to a field and gather pollen. Pollen passes through your hive and comes out as honey, which is the currency for almost everything. Honey buys eggs, eggs hatch bees, and more bees gather more pollen. The step most new players skip is the fifth one: bees gain bond with you as they work, and enough bond levels the bee up. Higher level bees collect and convert more pollen and have more energy to keep working. The Photon Bee is the exception, so check its page before you build around it.

Server size is 6, so you share the map with a small group instead of a crowd. The official Roblox page lists 29,086 active players, 6,558,881 favourites, and 4.6B+ visits, with the most recent update landing on 8/22/2026. The game is rated Maturity: Minimal with Violence listed as Occasional and Mild. It is filed under Simulation and Incremental Simulator, which tells you what kind of grind you are signing up for.

The early honey badge ladder gives you a rough sense of scale. The 1 Million Honey badge has been won 19,401,361 times, the 10 Million Honey badge 11,256,213 times, and the 100 Million Honey badge 5,738,969 times. All three sit at a rarity under 0.5 percent on the official page. That is a long game, and the badge counts are a decent proxy for how many players actually push past the opening hour.

Hive slots: the 25 to 50 climb

A basic hive contains 25 slots for bees. You can buy 25 more at the Mountain Top Shop, which puts the ceiling at 50 bees. The first extra slot costs 3,000,000 honey. The price rises sub-exponentially from there, and the 25th extra slot costs 2,169,203,229,760 honey, which the wiki rounds to 2.17 trillion.

32814,562,50025,312,500
42924,057,29249,369,792
Two things follow from that table. First, slot 4 alone costs more than slots 1 through 3 combined, so the early slots are the cheap ones and you should grab them the moment you can. Second, the gap between 3 million and 2.17 trillion means the last slots are endgame goals, not something to chase on day one.

Hive slots were added in the first update after release, with a maximum of 40. The cap was raised to 50 in the 2018-05-26 update, and that is still the number today.

Eggs and what they actually hatch

Eggs are inventory items you drag into your hive to hatch a bee. Six general egg types exist: Basic, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Mythic, and Star, plus gifted variants of most of them. The odds are the part that matters, because the difference between a Basic Egg and a Diamond Egg is enormous.

Basic87% Basic, 10% Rare, 2.5% Epic, 0.5% Legendary, 0.4% Gifted1,00050100
Silver64.9% Rare, 30% Epic, 5% Legendary, 0.1% Mythicnot sold100200
Gold79% Epic, 20% Legendary, 1% Mythicnot sold100200
Diamond95% Legendary, 5% Mythicnot sold400400
A few details worth knowing. The Basic Egg cannot hatch a Mythic or Event bee, and it cannot be used on a Basic Bee. The Silver Egg cannot hatch a Basic or Event bee. The Gold Egg cannot hatch a Basic, Rare, or Event bee. The Diamond Egg cannot hatch a Basic, Rare, Epic, or Event bee. A Gifted Silver Egg uses the same probabilities as a Silver Egg but always hatches the bee into its gifted variant.

Crafting is tied to eggs too. Five Gold Eggs are needed for the Honey Mask and five Diamond Eggs are needed for the Diamond Mask, so spending those eggs is a real tradeoff rather than a free upgrade.

One rule change makes this much friendlier than it used to be. Since the 2019-09-28 update, players do not need a vacant hive slot to hatch an egg. You can hatch an egg on top of an existing bee to replace it, and the replacement keeps the old bee's level, which acts like using a Royal Jelly. That means you can reroll a weak bee in a slot you already own without buying space for it.

If eggs in the Robux Shop are missing for you, the wiki attributes it to regulations in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Australia, and says the restriction applies to most of the shop's eggs.

The 46 bees, by rarity

The wiki counts 46 bee types you can discover and collect. The spread by rarity is uneven, and the event bees are the ones most likely to cause confusion because they are not in any egg table above.
  • Common: Basic Bee (1)
  • Rare: Bomber, Brave, Bumble, Cool, Hasty, Looker, Rad, Rascal, Stubborn (9)
  • Epic: Bubble, Bucko, Commander, Demo, Exhausted, Fire, Frosty, Honey, Rage, Riley, Shocked (11)
  • Legendary: Baby, Carpenter, Demon, Diamond, Lion, Music, Ninja, Shy (8)
  • Mythic: Buoyant, Fuzzy, Precise, Spicy, Tadpole, Vector (6)
  • Event: Bear, Cobalt, Crimson, Digital, Festive, Gummy, Photon, Puppy, Tabby, Vicious, Windy (11)
That adds up to 46. The event bees are the ones with odd acquisition paths. Bear Bee used to be Robux-only, but since the July 2024 update you can get a voucher for a Bear Bee Egg instead, which opened it up without spending money.

Gifted bees and how you actually get them

A gifted bee has improved stats and gives the entire hive or the player a bonus that varies from bee to bee and cannot stack. Some gifted bees keep their normal abilities, and most gifted event bees have enhanced ones, Photon Bee's beamstorm being the example the wiki gives.

The random route is brutal and you should know the number before you try it: there is a 1/8000 chance, which is 0.0125 percent, of getting a gifted bee from feeding a Rare bee. The deterministic routes are the ones worth pursuing. Defeating Tunnel Bear for the first time guarantees a gifted egg, with lower chances on repeat kills. Completing Black Bear's "Getting Stumped" quest, the 100th Sticker-Seeker quest, 50 Gifted Bucko Bee or Gifted Riley Bee quests, or 275 Brown Bear quests all award specific gifted eggs.

An early game plan that respects your honey
  1. Hatch the free Basic Egg you start with. Do not spend anything yet.
  2. Grind the Sunflower Field until you have 1,000 honey. The Basic Egg Shop sits near the Sunflower Field, so your first paid Basic Egg is right there.
  3. Buy Basic Eggs with honey, not Robux, until your hive is full at 25. Basic Eggs are 1,000 honey each, which keeps the early loop free to play.
  4. Buy your first extra hive slot as soon as 3 million honey is reachable, then the second and third. Slot 4 is where the cost jumps, so stop there and go back to bees.
  5. Switch to ticket and quest eggs once you are earning tickets. The Silver Egg at 100 tickets and the Gold Egg at 100 tickets are far better value per unit of effort than grinding honey for Basic Eggs at that stage.
  6. Spend your first Gold and Diamond Eggs on bees, not masks, until you have a settled hive. The masks are nice, but the bees are what produce the honey that buys the next slot.
  7. Feed treats and use the same bees repeatedly. Bond grows from working, and a higher level bee is the cheapest honey multiplier you will ever buy.
FAQ
  • Is Bee Swarm Simulator still popular in 2026? Yes. The official page showed 29,086 active players and 4.6B+ visits at the time of writing, with an update on 8/22/2026.
  • How many bees can I have at once? 50. You start at 25 and buy 25 more slots at the Mountain Top Shop.
  • Do I need Robux to progress? No. Basic Eggs cost 1,000 honey, and the Silver, Gold, and Diamond Eggs are all buyable with tickets from the Ticket Tent.
  • Why can I not buy eggs in the Robux Shop? The wiki says eggs are unavailable to players in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Australia because of local regulations.
  • Do I need an empty hive slot to hatch an egg? No. Since the 2019-09-28 update you can hatch an egg over an existing bee and the replacement keeps its level.
  • What is the fastest way to level a bee up? Use it and feed it treats. Bond grows as bees gather pollen and fight mobs, and the level rises once the threshold is met.
  • Where do I find current codes? The Bee Swarm Simulator wiki keeps a live codes page, and the game typically adds codes on updates and milestones.
