Quick Summary
 • Update 30, the Sea 1 Rework, landed on September 5, 2026. It rebuilt the entire First Sea, raised the level cap from 2800 to 3000, and added the Magnet fruit and the Advanced Combat fighting style.[1]
 • The cap increase does not come from grinding. It comes from 40 new Island Secrets scattered across the First Sea, each worth 5 Secret Levels.[1][2]
 • Magnet is a Mythical fruit for 6,000,000 Beli or 3,500 Robux. A Magnetic Power meter changes your M1 combo, damage reduction, and pull strength across three stages.[3]
 • Every First Sea boss now has a secret awakened version that spawns hourly, and the Secrets Master tells you which one is coming.[1][2]
 • A September 10 patch pushed the cap from 2995 to the full 3000 and fixed a long list of quest and secret bugs.[1]
What Update 30 actually is

Update 30 is the first full revamp of the Blox Fruits First Sea. Gamer Robot rebuilt 16 islands with new layouts, buildings, lighting, and interiors rather than just new textures. Pirate Village, Desert, Marine Fortress, Colosseum, Prison, Magma Village, Sky Island, and Underwater City all look and play differently than they did before.[1]

The structural change is progression. Before Update 30 the level cap was 2800 and regular grinding would get you there. After Update 30, grinding still stops at 2800. Everything past that comes from Island Secrets.[1][2]

Blox Fruits is not a small game to revisit. It passed 65 billion lifetime visits and was sitting around 200,000 concurrent players in the October 12 to 18 tracking week, which still puts it comfortably in the top ten most played experiences on the platform.[5]

Island Secrets and Secret Levels: the real level 3000 grind

Island Secrets are hidden quests spread across the First Sea. There are 40 of them in total and they are exclusive to the First Sea. Each one you complete raises both your level cap and your stats cap by 5, so all 40 together add 200 levels and take you from 2800 to 3000.[1][2]

Completing all 3 Secret Quests on an island, Middle Town excepted, unlocks that island as a teleport destination through the teleporter inside Middle Town's central building. The island also gets a yellow glow on your map.[2]

How secrets spawn and how to find them:
 • Quest NPCs have a "Rumor" dialogue option that gives hints about which secrets are available.[1]
 • In private servers, if you stay on an island for roughly 40 to 45 minutes, an island secret has a chance to spawn there. Public servers work the same way, but the game may spawn the secret on whatever island the group is on, not necessarily the one you are standing on.[2]
 • Some secrets only let one player complete them per spawn.[2]
 • During the last 30 minutes of every hour you can talk to the Secrets Master to learn which boss will awaken at the start of the next hour.[2]
 • Secret quests have no required order. Do whichever you are currently able to do.[2]
One bug worth knowing: after finishing an Island Secret, the Quest NPC sometimes only gives you 2 of the 5 levels. Keep talking to the NPC to collect the rest. If you log out before doing that, you lose those levels from that NPC, though you can make up the missing levels through Raid Bosses, fishing, regular quests, or Sea Events. The one repeatable secret is Unexpected Guest.[2]

Magnet fruit moves, mastery, and the mech suit

Magnet is the new Mythical fruit and the headline addition of Update 30. It costs 6,000,000 Beli or 3,500 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer.[3]

Its core mechanic is the Magnetic Power meter. You fill it by picking up metal scraps scattered around the world. As it charges, your mechanical arms grow through three stages, and each stage changes your kit:[3]

StageM1 comboPull and damage reduction

13-hitBase form, damage reduction scales up to 20%

24-hitArms grow, damage reduction and jetpack speed increase

35-hitLargest arms, highest damage reduction and pull radius

Damage taken drains the meter a little, so getting hit can knock you back a stage. That is the design: Magnet rewards constant aggression and punishes passive play.[3]

Passives:
 • Magnetic Power: fills from scraps and scales M1 damage, combo chain, damage reduction, and jetpack flight speed.[3]
 • Flux Draw: a magnetic field that pulls nearby opponents toward you. Pull strength and radius scale with your meter.[3]
 • Repulsor Field: while transformed you take about 62.5% reduced damage from all attacks and about 70% from guns, but only about 30% against lightning. Transformed X and C gain hyper armor and cannot be cancelled.[3]
Moveset with mastery requirements:

MoveMasteryWhat it does

[Z] Scrap Arsenal1Tap: homing projectiles that pull enemies in and stack for AoE. Held: a focused beam, bonus damage on direct hit.[3]

[F] Polarity Drive75Tap: a grab that unequips the target's sword. Held: magnetic jetpack flight, then launch the jetpack as a projectile.[3]

[X] Magnetic Overcharge100Tap: a compact cage that traps enemies. Held: a larger cage with AoE damage.[3]

[C] Polarizing Drop225Tap: grab, lift, and slam an enemy, or AoE ground slam with no target. Held: pull in enemies and scrap and instantly fill the meter.[3]

[V] Maximum Overdrive300Transform into a mech suit. You lose access to Fighting Styles, Swords, and Guns while transformed.[3]

In the mech you get a separate moveset: homing missiles, a scrap ball that pulls enemies in, a heavy arm cannon, and a magnetic field that drags enemies to the center. Without using moves, the transformation lasts about 1 minute 56 seconds. Scraps on the ground despawn after roughly 30 seconds.[3]

Advanced Combat and the Magnet Gacha

Update 30 also added the Advanced Combat fighting style. You get it through the Secrets Master, and the route involves a teleporter sequence, removing your fruit, and beating an Awakened Boss, so it is very much an endgame pursuit.[4]

The Magnet Event itself has ended, but it shaped the first weeks after launch. Magnetized enemies spawned around the world, dropped Magnet Tokens, and those tokens rolled the Free To Play Gacha. The gacha paid out a random Blox Fruit excluding Common ones, 2 profile backgrounds, 2 accessories, and a chance at a skinned fruit or the Summer 2026 Chromatic Box from the chase tier.[1]

Revamped bosses, balance changes, and QoL

Boss fights got a real overhaul. Bosses now have a themed health bar, an icon, and an attack indicator, and their possible drops show under the bar before you engage. When you get close, the camera pans toward the boss with glowing red eyes. Every First Sea boss has a secret awakened version.[1]

Two bosses were removed entirely: Chief Warden and Swan. Three were renamed: Sky Warlord, formerly Wysper; Lightning God, formerly Thunder God; and Magma General, formerly Magma Admiral.[1]

The balance changes hit defense hard. All in-game defenses were reduced by 25%, Aura defense was lowered by 15%, and Maximum Health was cut by 10%. Spirit's Wrath of Ra burn damage was removed.[1]

Quality of life landed across all three seas: a reworked HUD and stats menu, a new loading screen and team selection UI, weapon and boat dealers that let you preview before buying, the Blox Fruit Gacha moved to Middle Town, Dragon now available through the gacha, and an expanded Player Profile with new tabs, friend indicators, and search.[1]

How the level cap actually reached 3000

The September 5 update set the capacity at 3000 but split it: 2800 from grinding and 200 from Island Secrets. Players who had already been grinding near the old ceiling saw the message "Secret Levels Available!" once the patch hit. A follow-up on September 10 raised the cap from 2995 to the full 3000 and fixed a batch of secret quest and leveling bugs, including cases where players earned levels indefinitely by selecting "Nevermind" on a Quest NPC.[1]

FAQ

Do I need Island Secrets to reach level 3000?
Yes. Regular grinding caps at 2800. The remaining 200 levels come only from Island Secrets, each worth 5 levels.

What is the best Island Secret to start with?
There is no required order, so pick whichever you can currently complete. The wiki notes that recording the ships during the Lookout Duty minigame makes counting them afterward much easier, and that some secrets are one player per spawn, so coordination matters more than speed.[2]

Why did my Island Secret only give 2 levels instead of 5?
A known bug. Talk to the Quest NPC again to collect the rest before you leave the game. If you log out first, you lose those levels from that NPC, though Raid Bosses, fishing, quests, and Sea Events can replace them. Unexpected Guest is the one repeatable secret.[2]

Is the Magnet Event still running?
No, it has ended. You can still buy the fruit from the dealer or find it spawning in the world, and Chromatic Boxes are available in the in-game shop.[1][3]

What does Maximum Overdrive actually do?
It transforms you into a mech suit with its own moveset, roughly 62.5% damage reduction, and about 70% reduction against guns. The tradeoff is that you cannot use Fighting Styles, Swords, or Guns while transformed, and lightning damage is only reduced by about 30%.[3]

When is the next Blox Fruits update?
There is no confirmed date for Update 31. The developers use The Blox Bulletin on the official Gamer Robot site to tease what is coming next, and the latest issue at the time of writing is number 025 from October 17, 2026.[1][4][6]
