Event Overview and Timeline

The Halloween Event 2026 in Adopt Me started on October 3 during the weekly Admin Abuse and runs through October 31. It is the biggest seasonal event the game has had this year, and player counts reflect that. Adopt Me jumped to the number 3 spot on the Roblox charts for October, averaging around 245,000 concurrent players, up 65 percent from September according to RoStats.

Four temporary areas appeared around Adoption Island for the event: the Manor, the Hotel, the Crypt, and the Carnival. Each area hosts its own activity or minigame. The event also introduced a handful of NPCs, including Mayor Amanda, Grave Dave, Stray Cat, Count Slothula, and the three geist siblings: Caramelgeist, Bobageist, and Bubblegeist.

The event rolls out in three weekly phases. Week 1 opened the Manor, Crypt, and Ghost Gallery. Week 2 added the Hotel, Hauntlet 2, and the Poltergeist Box. Week 3 brought the Carnival, Stitches' Spotlight, and the final batch of pets. If you are reading this in mid-October, you have access to everything except possibly the last few week 3 items.

How Candy Corn Farming Works

Candy Corn is the event currency. You spend it on pets, accessories, toys, and vehicles at the event shops. There are five ways to earn it:
  1. Stray Cat feeding. Once per in-game day, give Stray Cat any food item from your inventory and he hands over 50 Candy Corn. Potions and non-edible items do not work. This is small but free and takes ten seconds.
  2. Ghost Gallery. This minigame inside the Manor runs on a 30-minute queue timer. You get 150 seconds to blast ghosts hiding in furniture, then fight a boss ghost. Your Candy Corn payout scales with your score, capping at 5,000. Defeating the boss also awards a Crypt Key.
  3. Crypt coffins. Each coffin costs one Crypt Key to open and pays out 1,000 to 3,000 Candy Corn, plus a chance at crafting items like Crypt Twigs, Lost Socks, a Lightning Lever, and Headphones. More on the Crypt below.
  4. Hauntlet 2. This 50-door minigame inside the Hotel pays cumulative Candy Corn based on how far you get. First-time escape awards a sticker and a pile of Candy Corn. Maximum possible reward is 21,000 Candy Corn plus 500 Bucks and two Crypt Keys.
  5. Stitches' Spotlight. The Carnival minigame has you collecting Candy Corn pieces while dodging red spotlights for 125 seconds. Payout scales with collection, up to 5,000 Candy Corn. A Crypt Key can also spawn in the arena.
Completing a pet's need during the event also grants 200 Candy Corn each. If you want to speed things up, a gamepass for 50 Robux increases all Candy Corn earnings by 25 percent for the rest of the event. Bonus Candy Corn piles up next to the Nursery and can be collected at any time if you own the pass.

The Crypt: Four Levels of Coffins

The Crypt sits near the Manor and is open from week 1. It has four levels, each filled with coffins. You open one coffin per Crypt Key. Inside you will find 1,000 to 3,000 Candy Corn, or one of four crafting items: Crypt Twig, Lost Sock, Lightning Lever, or Headphones. Once you have collected eight Crypt Twigs, three Lost Socks, one Lightning Lever, and one Headphones, those items stop dropping.

Each level has one coffin that contains a ladder to the level below. On the fourth level, the ladder coffin leads to the Mummy Spider pet. Once you claim the Mummy Spider, the Crypt collapses and you can run the levels again for more Candy Corn and items. The Mummy Spider is a Rare pet and the only way to get it is by finding that final ladder.

Crypt Keys come from four sources: daily event tasks on the Task Board, defeating the Ghost Gallery boss, reaching certain milestones in Hauntlet 2, and finding one in Stitches' Spotlight. Plan your key usage if you want the Mummy Spider, since you need to reach the bottom of level 4 before you can claim it.

Hauntlet 2: Fifty Doors and Three Hearts

Hauntlet 2 opened in week 2 inside the Hotel elevator. It runs on the same 30-minute queue timer as the other minigames. You start with three hearts and must get through 50 doors. Each room gives you a choice of doors, and at least one door in every room from room 2 onward hides ghosts. One ghost costs one heart, two ghosts cost two, three cost three. If you lose all three hearts, the run ends.

Doors without ghosts often give you items. The item pool includes Ghost Potions (temporary heart protection), Phones (reveal one ghost door for the whole team), Keys (remove gray locks), Heart Potions (refill your hearts), Rainbow Wands (clear all ghosts in a room), Golden Keys (unlock special doors), and Golden Heart Potions (a refillable extra heart).

Every 10 rooms you hit an elevator split. You pick one of two elevators, each leading to a themed floor with its own door type. The special floors are Power Station (Electric Doors), Spider Den (Webbed Doors), Security (Security Doors), Bounce House (Bouncy Doors), The Nightmare (Nightmare Doors), and ??? (Copycat Doors). You cannot get the same special floor twice in one run. Choosing an elevator also grants you a Heart Potion, Rainbow Wand, or Golden Key.

The risk-reward curve is real. Wooden Doors are safe with small rewards. Rotten and Shadow Doors are riskier but pay more. Nightmare Doors have the highest ghost chance and the best rewards. Electric Doors always cost one heart but pay well and rarely hide ghosts. If you are going for the first-time escape sticker, play it safe. If you are farming Candy Corn, the risky doors are where the money is.

The Poltergeist Box is a Legendary gift you can buy for 13,000 Candy Corn in week 2. It is the only way to get Caramelgeist, Bobageist, and Bubblegeist. The three geist pets are separate pulls from the same box, so getting all three takes luck or a lot of Candy Corn.

The Skelicorn at 120,000 Candy Corn is the most expensive event pet. It is also one of the most sought-after Halloween pets in the game right now. If you want it, start farming Ghost Gallery and Hauntlet 2 immediately. Those two minigames pay the most per run.

Other Event Items Worth Your Candy Corn

Beyond pets, the event shop has accessories, toys, vehicles, and a stroller. Some of the notable drops:
  • Ghost Blaster (Ultra-Rare accessory, 7,800 Candy Corn, week 1). This is the standard tool in Ghost Gallery. Owning it means you spawn in with it instead of the basic version.
  • Pro Ghost Blaster (Legendary, 29 Robux, week 2). Upgraded version with more damage and blast range. A quality-of-life purchase if you plan to farm Ghost Gallery heavily.
  • Orbweaver Glider (Ultra-Rare toy, 59,000 Candy Corn, week 1). One of the more expensive toys in the event.
  • Ghoul Mobile (Rare vehicle, 44,500 Candy Corn, week 1). A Halloween-themed ride.
  • Nest Stroller (Rare, 11,000 Candy Corn, week 1). For players who want a themed stroller.
  • Halloween Sticker Pack (Uncommon, 750 Candy Corn, week 2). Contains 10 stickers including the animated Soulfire sticker.
The two Robux gamepasses are the Candy Corn boost (50 Robux, 25 percent more Candy Corn for the whole event) and the Halloween Slime Mega Neon Paint (49 Robux, week 2). There is also a Blue Boohoo Mega Neon Paint for 49 Robux in week 3.

FAQ

When does the Adopt Me Halloween Event 2026 end?
The event ends on October 31, 2026. All event areas, minigame queues, and shop items disappear when the timer runs out. Any Candy Corn you have left over will be useless after that date, so spend it before the deadline.

Can I still get week 1 and week 2 pets if I start in week 3?
Yes. All pets from previous weeks remain available in the event shop for the rest of the event. The weekly rollout only controls when things first appear, not when they leave.

How do I get Crypt Keys fast?
The fastest sources are the daily Task Board and the Ghost Gallery boss. Hauntlet 2 also awards keys at certain milestones, and Stitches' Spotlight can spawn one in the arena. If you are sitting on keys, run the Crypt. Even without the Mummy Spider, the coffins pay 1,000 to 3,000 Candy Corn each.

Is the Poltergeist Box worth it?
If you want the three geist pets, it is the only way. Each box costs 13,000 Candy Corn and gives you one of Caramelgeist, Bobageist, or Bubblegeist at random. Getting all three takes multiple boxes. If you only want one specific geist, you are at the mercy of RNG. Buy it only if you are okay with duplicates.

What is the best minigame for farming Candy Corn?
Hauntlet 2 has the highest ceiling at 21,000 Candy Corn for a full clear, but it is also the most demanding. Ghost Gallery is more accessible and still pays up to 5,000 per run. For pure speed, Stitches' Spotlight is the quickest to queue and finish. Mix them based on your patience and skill level.

Will these pets be tradeable after the event?
Event pets in Adopt Me are typically tradeable once they are in your inventory. The Mummy Spider, Skelicorn, and Copycat are likely to hold trade value because they are limited-time items. The Robux pets (Jester Dragon, Copycat) tend to be worth less in trades since they can be bought by anyone with Robux during the event.
