What Redliner Is and Why It Feels Different

Redliner is a movement first shooter on Roblox. Most FPS games on the platform ask you to aim and shoot. Redliner asks you to move, choose a range, and then fight. The sword wins close space, the gun punishes distance, and parry timing punishes predictable shots. The whole loop is simple to read and hard to master.

The game has no speed cap, which means movement routes can stack. Dash, slide, grapple, wallrun, and slam all feed into each other, and good players chain them to keep speed while still controlling their camera. That is the part that separates Redliner from other Roblox shooters.

Redliner is free to play. Cosmetics and progression are earned in game, and Roblox Plus players earn extra Yen. The game page describes it as a fast FPS with swordplay, gunplay, parrying, changeable keybinds, and a Roblox Plus Yen bonus.

Controls and Keybind Setup

The default control map is a solid place to start:
  • LMB: melee
  • Q: gun
  • F: parry
  • RMB: grapple
  • Shift: dash
  • Ctrl: slide
  • Space: wallrun
The best bind is the one you can press while still aiming and moving. Redliner asks for fast decisions, so every defensive and route changing input needs a clean finger path. Keep parry reachable without releasing movement. Keep grapple reachable without losing camera tracking. Avoid binds that conflict with common Roblox or mouse software actions. Retest binds in a quiet route before judging them in a duel.

Movement Tech: Dash, Slide, Grapple, Wallrun, and Slam

Movement is why Redliner feels different. You are not just running at people. You are sliding, dashing, wallrunning, grappling, slamming, bhopping, and using your gun to move in weird angles.

Slide and dash are your first speed tools. Hold slide to start sliding for a quick speed boost. Press dash to burst in any direction. Dash sideways or backward when you need to dodge instead of chasing. Slide right before or after landing to keep speed. If you lose your camera after sliding, slow down and practice shorter routes.

Wallrunning lets you turn walls into routes. Press jump near a wall to wallrun, then jump off the wall in the direction you want to go. Use wallrun to change height, cross gaps, or dodge a straight shot. Do not wallrun when it puts your back to the fight.

Grapple is your big route changer. Press RMB to use your grappler. Grapple up to climb or escape. Grapple sideways to cut angles instead of flying straight at someone. Redirect means grappling without holding a movement key so your momentum goes toward the grapple direction. BDG means Backdash Grapple: dash backward, then grapple forward. The tighter the timing, the more speed you can gain.

Ground Slam happens when you grapple toward the ground from height. If players are close to the impact, you can destabilize them and briefly stun them. Slam Cancel means sliding right before you hit the ground so you keep speed instead of stopping on impact.

Bhop is how players carry speed between jumps. Hold Space while moving to bhop. You can bhop in any direction. Bhop Strafe means holding forward and turning your camera at a steady pace to gain speed. Turning your camera too fast can kill your speed. Slide Hop means sliding every time you hit the ground while bhopping to gain more momentum.

Your gun is not only for damage. Shooting can push you in the opposite direction and help you dodge, recover, or extend a route. Use recoil movement to dodge after a bad entry. Do not waste every shot on movement if you need pressure.

Combat and Parry: Sword, Gun, and the Parry Read

Combat in Redliner is range control. Sword pressure wins close space, gun pressure punishes distance, and parry timing punishes predictable shots. Good players choose the tool before the duel collapses.

Parry is the signature mechanic. Press F to parry, and you can parry bullets. The trick is to use parry as a read, not a panic button. Parry predictable shots, not every threat. Use the timing window as a counter plan.

Ground Slam applies 60 percent Instability on impact, and it can be parried to reflect Instability. Phoenix direct hits are parryable, but they can still destabilize on parry like the explosion. If you panic parry at the wrong time, you hand the fight to the other player.

Weapons and Arsenal Stats

The Arsenal replaced the older weapon select and now acts as both shop and weapon and skin select. The always equipped melee weapon is the Redliner katana.
[th]Weapon[/th][th]Type[/th][th]Key stats[/th]
Redliner katanaMelee, short ranged20 HP damage, about 0.5s cooldown, Wide Slash uses 2 stamina bars
CastigateMagnum revolver, Scan Aim, One-Handed60 damage, 0.75s draw, 100H bullet cost, max 3 bullets, wallbangs
PhoenixHandheld howitzer, Projectile, ExplosiveMagazine 1, 180H bullet cost, direct hits parryable
SiegeDouble barreled shotgun, Spread, Two-Shot80 to 40 damage, 2 shots per draw, 1.1s draw, 140H bullet cost, 10 pellets per shot
MonarchAnti-materiel sniper, Scoped, Wallbang140 damage, 1.85s draw, 200H bullet cost, max 1 bullet, pierces walls up to 140 studs
The June 17, 2026 balance patch changed two of these. Phoenix had its magazine size cut from 2 to 1 and its bullet cost raised from 170 to 180, while its direct hit hitbox was made smaller and direct hits became parryable. Siege had its minimum damage raised from 30 to 40, so its damage should be treated as 80 to 40 until a newer patch says otherwise.

Monarch is the slow, high damage wallbang weapon. Scoped targets are highlighted with a translucent red box, and firing causes strong recoil. Castigate is the precise one handed revolver, and one handed weapons can use grapple while the weapon is in use.

Game Modes, Maps, and Progression

The release modes are 1v1 Duels and 2v2 Wingman queues, plus Tutorial, Training Mode, and custom lobby creation. Matchmaking tries to pair similarly levelled players.

1v1 Duels is the main solo mode for spacing, parry timing, and weapon reads. 2v2 Wingman is the team queue mode for focusing fire, covering your teammate, and talking. Queue modes contain a closing zone when the timer runs out, and if players stay outside it they can be sniped.

Training Mode includes killable drones, parry training, and clash dummies, and it lets you try guns before purchasing. Custom lobbies make controlled drills possible when public queues are too chaotic for a specific mechanic.

The current map pools list Glitch for FFA, Arc, HighRise, and Kabuki for 1v1 Duels, and Metro for 2v2 Wingman. Metro, Highrise, and Kabuki were confirmed as new release maps.

Redliner uses Yen as the normal currency and Crimson as the premium currency. Roblox Plus grants a 50 percent Yen bonus according to the official Roblox page. Release notes say Crimson can be earned through contracts or bought with Robux. Crimson is used for skins and skipping weapon grinds.

Daily and weekly contracts exist, and contracts can reward Crimson and Yen. Eleven obtainable skins were added at release: ten rollable and one direct. The level unlock titles run from Rookie at level 0 or joining, to Prospect at level 5, Freelancer at level 10, Professional at level 25, Elite at level 50, MENACE at level 75, EMINENCE at level 90, and FLATLINER at level 100. Leaderboards exist for Winstreak, Top Supporter, and Top Levels.

There are no verified active Redliner codes as of October 2026, and no confirmed public redemption menu. Do not trust fake free Crimson sites, login pages, or outside tools, and never enter your Roblox login into any Crimson reward site.

How to Practice in Redliner
  1. Start with the Tutorial so the sword, gun, movement, and parry loop makes sense before you chase wins.
  2. Open Training Mode and use the parry training to learn the timing window without live pressure.
  3. Drill one movement tool at a time. Dash, slide, wallrun, and grapple each need a short clean route before you chain them.
  4. Use a custom lobby to practice one weapon against one target at a time.
  5. Play 1v1 Duels once the basic loop feels stable, and use 2v2 Wingman to learn target focus and teammate visibility.
