- Roblox promo codes and gift card codes all redeem on one page: roblox.com/redeem, and every code works worldwide.
- Platform promo codes have been rare for years. Outlets checked in 2026 (Rock Paper Shotgun on 5 October, PC Gamer in July) both list SPIDERCOLA as the only active one, for the Spider Cola shoulder pet.
- The bigger free-item pipeline is gift cards. Every Roblox Gift Card grants a free virtual item on redemption, limited to one item per month per account.
- Toy and virtual item codes redeem once per account, and Roblox states those items cannot be traded or sold.
- Codes expire. Promo codes often have a short window, and a code that was live last year will not redeem today.
- Roblox states plainly in its gift card FAQ that codes for free Robux do not exist. Anyone offering them is running a scam.
Players mix up three things that all live behind the same redemption page, and that confusion is the source of most "my code did not work" posts. There is a fourth pipeline that does not use that page at all. Separating them up front saves a lot of failed redemption attempts.
- Promo codes come from Roblox events or giveaways. Roblox warns that promo codes may expire or only be active for a short period of time. Redeem at roblox.com/promocodes or the main redeem page.
- Virtual item codes come from physical products. For Jazwares action figures the code sits on the front of the package on a token, or on a code card inside the plastic. Nerf blasters and Monopoly use a code card insert. For anything else (Prime Gaming, Verizon, and similar), Roblox points you at the same online redemption page.
- Gift card codes are the PIN on the back of a card or in a digital delivery email. These give you Roblox credit, which you then spend on Robux or a Plus subscription.
- In-game codes are a different animal. Blox Fruits, Fisch, Dress to Impress and dozens of other games issue their own codes, redeemed inside that experience, for that game's own rewards. They never redeem on roblox.com, and they never give avatar items. Every game runs its own list and its own expiry clock, so a code that worked in another title is meaningless here.
What is actually redeemable in October 2026
Platform promo codes are the thin end. Rock Paper Shotgun last checked on 5 October 2026 and reported no new codes, and PC Gamer said the same in July 2026. Both still list SPIDERCOLA as the working one. It grants the Spider Cola shoulder pet. Pro Game Guides, last verified in June 2026, lists exactly the same single working platform code.
The genuinely productive route is gift card items. Every Roblox Gift Card includes a free virtual item, granted the moment you redeem the card, and Roblox publishes a new item each month. The limit is one unique virtual item per month per account, and one bonus item per month per account if you buy the card online directly from Roblox. Party Packs and Mini Packs are different: those are Robux-only and carry no virtual items.
The community-tracked timeline for 2026 shows the pattern clearly. Each month there is a bonus item available on any card plus retailer-specific items at set denominations.
- January 2026: 2026 Midnight Revelry Top Hat and 2026 Golden Party Balloons as the any-card bonus items, then Amazon items at $10, $25 and $50.
- March 2026: 80s Party Animal and Shoulder Mounted Camcorder on any card, then Amazon items at $10, $25 and $50.
- May 2026: HazardTech Helm Bot and HazardTech Spider Rig on any card, with Amazon items at $10, $25 and $50.
- July 2026: Ice Wyrm's Helm and Ice Wyrm's Wings on any card, Amazon items at $10, $25 and $50.
- September 2026: Medusa Snakes and Icarus Wings on any card, Amazon items at $10, $25 and $50.
- October 2026: Ravenous Witch's Hat and Sparkling Robux Shades as the any-card bonus items, plus Strawberry Prince Tin Badge Backpack from 7-Eleven Japan, Irradiated Sea Monster Hood from Amazon at $10, Mutated Bone Axe at $25, and Netherworld Demon Wings at $50.
Step by step redemption
- Log into the Roblox account you want the item on. Codes attach to the account that is signed in, and you cannot move them afterwards.
- Open roblox.com/redeem.
- Type the code into the box. Watch the characters. Roblox suggests the usual substitutions when a code fails: 0 for O, 1 for I, 2 for Z, 5 for S, 6 for G or Q, 8 for B.
- Click Redeem and wait for the confirmation message. A success message appears once the code goes through.
- Check your inventory, in the right category. A hat will not show up in your accessories tab, and Roblox's own toy-code troubleshooting says to confirm the category rather than assume the item failed to arrive.
Codes are worldwide. Roblox says all codes can be redeemed from any country, and the value converts to your account's local currency automatically. You can redeem as many cards as you like, one at a time.
Why a code refuses to work
- It expired. This is the most common reason and it is not fixable. Promo codes are frequently time-limited.
- You already own the item. Roblox tells you to check your inventory for the exclusive item before assuming the code is broken.
- You typed it wrong. Codes are not case sensitive, but the 0/O and 1/I pairs trip people constantly.
- It was never a real code. A code for a Marketplace item that Roblox did not authorise is not something you can redeem, and developers cannot print codes for Roblox content on retail packaging without Roblox authorisation.
- It was redeemed on a different account. Sign in to the account where you redeemed it and look there.
Gift cards are not all equivalent
This is the part that catches people out. Roblox separates cards that give credit from codes that give Robux directly, and the difference decides whether you can spend the value on a Plus subscription or only on Robux.
- Amazon Gift Cards and Party Pack Gift Cards are redeemable for Robux only. They cannot be redeemed for Roblox Credit.
- Digital codes sold at online retailers, for example Amazon, can only be redeemed directly for Robux and cannot be redeemed for credit.
- Roblox Gift Cards (including Party Packs and Mini Packs) do not expire, cannot be split, and are redeemed for their full value.
- If you redeem a card for credit, Roblox says you automatically receive up to 25% more Robux than when you buy Robux directly on other platforms.
- Virtual items are not included with Party Packs or Mini Packs. Those are Robux-only.
- Digital gift cards can take up to 24 hours to appear because of fraud prevention checks, though most arrive immediately.
Roblox is unusually direct here, which makes quoting it worthwhile. In the gift card FAQ: "Note that codes for free Robux do not exist. Any person, website, or video offering a code for free Robux is a scam."
That single sentence rules out a whole category of videos, sites and direct messages. Roblox employees will never ask for your password, your browser cookies, your 2SV codes, or your backup codes. Roblox also warns that the most common way players lose an account is handing over login information directly or filling out an online survey, and that a frequent lure is a prize or free Robux in exchange for account details. Official promotions, Roblox says, are announced through the blog, the Notifications tab in Messages, or a banner at the top of the site. Not through a stranger's YouTube description.
FAQ
Where do I redeem a Roblox promo code?
At roblox.com/promocodes or the general roblox.com/redeem page, while signed into the account you want the item on. Both are official Roblox pages.
How many promo codes actually work right now?
Rock Paper Shotgun checked on 5 October 2026 and found no new codes, and PC Gamer reported the same in July 2026. Both list SPIDERCOLA as the sole active platform code, for the Spider Cola shoulder pet. Pro Game Guides last verified in June 2026 and lists the same one. Expect the platform code list to stay thin.
Can I trade or sell an item I redeemed with a code?
No. Roblox states that virtual item codes are redeemed once per account, and that these items cannot be traded or sold.
Why did I only get one virtual item after redeeming two gift cards in a month?
Because there is a limit of one unique virtual item per month, per account. Roblox's own support article confirms this and points to the gift cards page for the current item. Buying cards online directly from Roblox adds one bonus item per month per account, which is a separate allowance.
Can I redeem a gift card from another country?
Yes. Roblox says all codes can be redeemed worldwide and the value converts to your account's local currency on redemption.
Can I redeem a gift card in the mobile app or on console?
Not in the standard mobile app or on consoles. Use a web browser. Samsung Galaxy users can redeem in the mobile app through the Redeem tile on the More page.
Do Roblox gift cards expire?
No. Roblox Gift Cards do not expire, and they cannot be split. Digital gift cards can take up to 24 hours to arrive, though most land immediately.
