Tips that actually help you survive
- Escape maps before you chase cosmetics. Escaping is the single biggest XP and token action in the game, and doing it on a weekend pays double.
- Stun Piggy on cooldown. A gun or crossbow shot knocks Piggy out for 20 seconds and pays 40 XP, or 80 on a weekend. That is the cheapest way to buy your team a clean route to the exit.
- Do not touch Hard Mode until your build is comfortable. It adds 10 tokens to an escape and disables survivor abilities entirely, so the bonus is not worth a wipe on a map you do not know.
- Watch the patrol bots. From Sewers onward, bots place traps while they patrol and only give chase when they see you. Sprinting through a room you have not checked is how most survivors die.
- Save your Decay Revives for the Part 2 tiers. Tiers 2 and 7 hand out 1 and 4 Decay Revives, which only matter if you plan to run the Decay maps where the infected respawn endlessly.
- Ignore the token shop until you have tokens to spare. Camouflage costs 660 tokens and Warp costs 250, which is a lot of escaping for abilities you may not use often.
