Quick Summary
  • Asylum Life is a roleplay game by Stone-Haven County Asylum where you pick a side inside a psychiatric facility: patients try to break out, staff try to keep them in.
  • The three free teams are Patient, Orderly and Medical. Elite Protection Unit and Facility Director are paid, and Auxiliary Staff is earned by hitting Retirement level 5 on any team.
  • A Patient escape runs from the patient wing through Cubic Reception, up the Emergency Stairs to Surface Facility Sector 1, then out the main gate.
  • Codes redeem through the Shop menu under the blue bird icon. Every code below gives a 3x EXP Booster unless noted.
  • The Halloween update landed on October 16, 2026 with a Halloween map and two events, and a fresh content update event was scheduled for Friday, October 23.
What Asylum Life actually is
You get locked inside a facility that calls itself an asylum for reasons the game never explains. The Roblox page describes the setup in one line: you can choose to be an Orderly protecting the staff or a Patient causing mischief, and the Orderlies will arrest you if you cause too much chaos.

As a Patient you earn Credits by mopping up spills or by talking to an NPC called Mitch. Credits buy tools, weapons and cosmetics from the Patient Shop, and the shop is where most of your early progress happens. The game supports voice chat in practice but the Roblox page lists Voice Chat as Not Supported, so treat that listing as stale rather than as a rule you can rely on.

The page lists the game at Maturity Mild with Violence (Repeated/Mild), 40 player servers, and the Roleplay and Avatar Sim genre. The in-game rules are published on the Roblox Developer Forum rather than in the game itself.

The three main teams
All three main teams have no requirement to play. Each one caps at level 100, and the wiki gives roughly 1,127,000 XP as the cost to max a team out. Sub-teams unlock every 25 levels, which is where the real build choices live.
  • Patient: seven sub-teams, and an unlimited number of patients per server. The wiki says a server can hold 40 or 50 patients. Their playstyle is killing people and doing jobs, with weapons like shards, bombs and stolen staff weapons.
  • Orderly: seven sub-teams, max capacity 7 and minimum 2, scaling with the patient count. Orderlies mainly arrest patients, using a Stunstick and its variants (Electrostaff, Electrolance, Riot Control) plus a taser or taser rifle.
  • Medical: six sub-teams, max capacity 9 and minimum 3. Medical mainly heals anyone, and defends itself with a Handheld Taser and Pepper Spray.
The side teams are a different deal. Elite Protection Unit costs 270 to 675 Robux depending on region and uses the Ignotus Electroshield and Knockout Grenade, with a max capacity of 5. Facility Director costs 399 to 999 Robux, is capped at 2 per server regardless of patient count, and has the biggest arsenal in the game, including the Straitjacket and a Management Tablet that opens and closes doors remotely and checks security cameras. Auxiliary Staff has no price but needs Retirement level 5 on any team, and it is the only team without an Arrest ability, so it mops spills or fights hostile patients instead.

How to escape as a Patient
Escaping is the Patient endgame and it is meant to be hard. The route itself is a chain of locked doors, and every stage has a different way to get through it.
  1. Stack cash first. Pocket Gamer's escape guide suggests 5,000 to 10,000 credits. Mop spills with the mop from the spawn area, dig through trash cans for loose change or a glass shard, or take bounties from the Bounty Broker near the cafeteria.
  2. Buy the key item. The Patient Shop in your spawn zone sells a Stolen Card, which swipes locked doors open.
  3. Sneak to the gates. Use the card on the locked exit gates in the patient area to reach the Cubic Reception hallway. Guards patrol here. Hide, or poke them with a glass shard to slow them down.
  4. Go upstairs. From Cubic Reception, use the card again on the Cubic exit door. You get a choice between Emergency Stairs, which are slower but safer, and a Surface Elevator, which is faster but orderlies camp it. Take the stairs up to Surface Facility Sector 1.
  5. Run for the exit. Once you are topside, follow the road to the main gate at the end. Open the big glass door and sprint through.
Getting caught mid-run means a tase and an arrest, which puts you back at the start. A padded cell is worse: Pocket Gamer says a solo lockdown is only escapable if another player unstrips you, or if you pay 8 Robux to bail out.

The asylumlife.wiki breaks the routes down by risk instead of by direction. Vents are stealthy but tight, and a crowbar from the Patient Shop opens the grates. Emergency stairs trade stealth for speed and concentrate orderly traffic. Keycard routes through the main corridors are direct but need stolen staff credentials. Their advice on server choice is blunt: practice on low-population servers first, and avoid escape attempts when two Facility Directors are coordinating door lockdowns, because that shuts most routes at once.

The October 2026 Halloween update
The game page carries an update banner dated October 16, 2026. It lists a Halloween map, two Halloween events, and a batch of quality of life changes, plus "and more". The page was last updated on 10/21/2026, so the build you get today is newer than that banner text.

A content update event was scheduled for Friday, October 23, 5:00 PM through Monday, October 26, 8:00 PM. Joining the event while it is live grants one 15 minute 2x booster per week, which you redeem in the Shop under Boosts. That is a separate reward from codes, and it is worth grabbing on a Friday if you plan a long session.

Working codes (October 2026)
The list below is what Pocket Gamer had checked on October 18, 2026. Beebom's page, last updated October 10, 2026, adds two codes that Pocket Gamer does not list. Where the two disagree, I have marked it rather than picking one.
  • LOGISTICSSS: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • ESCAPE ROUTE: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • FORKLIFTCERTIFIED: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • BODYGUARD: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • RECRUIT: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • 4THOFJULY: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • WEREGOINGCOMP: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • REMANTSOFTHEFUTURE: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • DANCEPARTY: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • THINKFAST: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • 1MILLION?: 3x EXP Booster (Pocket Gamer). Beebom also lists an exclusive title with this one.
  • WHATSSUBLEVELTHETA?: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • VIPREVISIONS: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • MAPREVISIONSS: 3x EXP Booster (both sources)
  • THEDIVE: 3x EXP Booster (Beebom only, marked NEW)
  • GRRRRRAAAAAAAAAH: 3x EXP Booster (Beebom only; Pro Game Guides lists it as inactive)
  • BLUE_VOID: 3x EXP Booster (Beebom only)
Pro Game Guides is the outlier here. On October 3, 2026 it reported exactly one active code, MAGICALWAND, which it describes as a developer skin for the Stunstick, and it marks GRRRRRAAAAAAAAAH as inactive. That contradicts Pocket Gamer and Beebom, so treat MAGICALWAND as worth one attempt and do not build a session around it.

How to redeem a code
Pocket Gamer and Beebom describe the same menu path with slightly different wording.
  1. Launch Asylum Life and finish the tutorial if this is your first time in.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top left to unfold the menu, or click the Shop button at the top of the screen.
  3. Select Open Shop.
  4. Choose the Twitter icon, the blue bird, on the right side of the Boosts row.
  5. Type the code and hit Redeem.
Codes are case sensitive and the expired ones stop working without warning, which is why every code list on the internet disagrees with the others. New codes show up in the Stone-Haven County Asylum Roblox group and in the official Discord, where the codes sit under the game's update log in the Twitter channel.

Frequently asked questions

What is the fastest way to level up?
Contracts, and only contracts. The asylumlife.wiki calls them the highest efficiency leveling method, with two contract slots per team and a refresh option that can backfire. Stack a 3x booster before you complete them: a 500 XP contract becomes 1,500 XP. Mopping is safer and much slower. Combat XP works, but repeat kills on the same player get reduced by 90%.

Do Patient levels carry over to Orderly?
No. Progression is team specific. Your Patient level is separate from your Orderly level, and sub-teams unlock every 25 levels within a single team.

Do I need a gamepass to have fun?
No. Patient, Orderly and Medical are free on join, and those are the three teams the game is balanced around. EPU and Facility Director cost 270 to 675 and 399 to 999 Robux depending on region, and Auxiliary Staff is free once you reach Retirement level 5.

Does the exit gate always need a keycard?
Under normal conditions, yes. The asylumlife.wiki notes that riots may alter gate mechanics temporarily, and Pocket Gamer's guide says the same about the "golden ticket" route. That is a timing window, not a permanent bypass.

Can I play as an orderly instead of a patient?
Yes. You can pick medical staff, orderly staff or patient at the start, and switching is done through the team selector. Orderlies are the defensive side and their whole job is arrests.

Why will my escape get shut down?
Three things, in order of how often they ruin a run: an orderly patrol in the stairwell, an EPU with a clear line of sight on the gate approach, and two Facility Directors using remote door control at the same time. The wiki's advice is to pick your route around which of those is currently on the server.
