Roblox Headless Horseman 2026 Guide: Price, the October Window, the Hollow Horseman, and Cheaper Headless Alternatives

Fri Oct 23, 2026 9:21 pm

Quick Summary

The Headless Horseman is a Roblox-made avatar bundle that hides your character's head, and it is back for its usual October window at 31,000 Robux.
The Roblox Wiki's availability table lists the 2026 run as starting October 1 and still available at the time of writing, so the window is open now rather than in the past.
It has returned every October since 2013, and the 31,000 Robux price is a reference to October 31.
The only legitimate discount is a Roblox Plus membership, which takes the bundle to roughly 27,900 Robux at the 10 percent tier.
Cheaper headless-style items exist, and there are free workarounds, but none of them are the real bundle.

What the Headless Horseman bundle actually is

The Headless Horseman is a bundle published in the Roblox Marketplace by Roblox itself, first released on October 31, 2013. It is inspired by the Headless Horseman of European folklore, the rider who travels without a head. The official listing sits at roblox.com/bundles/201/Headless-Horseman, sold by the verified Roblox account.

The reason it costs 31,000 Robux is the Headless Head. The Roblox Wiki describes that item as scaled to 0, 0, 0 and placed inside the wearer's torso, which makes the character appear to have no head at all, and it calls it the smallest head on Roblox. Roblox Den puts the same idea in plainer terms: the item scales the head down to essentially zero size to fake invisibility, and no other item on the platform does this. The two trackers agree on the effect even though they phrase it differently.

The bundle is not a single accessory. Its contents are the Headless Head, the Headless Horseman's New Head, a torso, and four separate limbs (right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg). That is why it costs the price of a large bundle rather than one hat. The wiki also notes that the 31,000 figure is a reference to October 31, the date of Halloween. Alongside the Korblox Deathspeaker, it is listed as one of the most desired bundles on the platform, because both rely on an unusual body-part effect instead of a normal cosmetic.

Since 2024 it has been a Marketplace item rather than an in-experience reward. The wiki records that on October 1, 2024 Roblox changed the bundle so it can no longer be bought from inside an experience, so the Marketplace is the only route there is.

Price and the 2026 window

The Roblox Wiki's availability table lists the 2026 run as starting October 1, 2026 and still available at the time of writing, and the same page says the bundle can usually be purchased for 31,000 Robux during October. Treat that as the current state of the listing: open now, not a run that already ended.

The price has barely moved in thirteen years. Roblox Den says the bundle has always been 31,000 Robux whenever it came back, with one exception, the 2015 Memorial Day Sale, when it sold for 24,800 Robux, a 20 percent discount. The wiki records the same two special sales.

On the dollar figure the two trackers disagree, which is worth knowing before you budget. The wiki's own conversion puts 31,000 Robux at roughly $299.98 USD, while Roblox Den gives a range of about $270 to $300 depending on where you buy your Robux. The gap comes from different Robux-to-dollar rates. Treat any dollar number as an estimate: the rate changes with the Robux bundle you buy and any active sale, so check the price of the Robux bundle on your own account before you commit.

The release history since 2013

Year	On sale from	Off sale
2013	October 31	November 3
2014	October 10	October 30
2015	October 1	November 3
2016	October 1	October 31
2017	October 2	October 31
2018	October 4	November 6
2019	October 13	November 4
2020	October 3	November 1
2021	October 1	November 1
2022	October 3	November 1
2023	September 15	November 1
2024	October 1	November 1
2025	October 1	November 3
2026	October 1	Still available at time of writing

Two rows deserve a note. The 2023 run started a month early, on September 15, which the wiki says marked the tenth anniversary of the bundle. And on November 15, 2023, the bundle briefly went on sale for free for about 20 minutes before Roblox rolled it back at 8pm PST. People who already owned it kept it. People who only had it equipped at the time had it removed when Roblox force-refreshed their avatars.

During October 2026 Roblox also released a new version of the bundle called the Hollow Horseman. If you are reading this after the 2026 window, that variant is the one to compare against the original, because the two are listed separately in the catalog.

How to buy it

Get 31,000 Robux into your account before the window closes. Buying that many at once is a large purchase and it can take time to clear, so do this first rather than on the day.
Open the Roblox Marketplace and search for Headless Horseman. Confirm the seller is the official Roblox account and that the price reads 31,000 Robux.
Buy the bundle during the sale window. Once it is yours you keep it permanently after the sale ends. You just cannot buy it again until the next October.
Equip it from the avatar editor. Your character's head disappears.

If you already hold a Roblox Plus membership, check the listing before you pay. The membership applies its avatar-purchase discount to the bundle, which takes 31,000 Robux down to roughly 27,900 at the standard 10 percent tier, and to about 24,800 Robux at the 20 percent tier that applies after several consecutive months. Timesaver, which tracks this, points out that the threshold for the higher tier has been tweaked before, so read the current tier on the Plus purchase screen rather than trusting a cached number.

Cheaper and free alternatives

31,000 Robux is out of reach for most players, and cheaper items get close to the look. Beebom lists the Headless Bunny at 1,500 Robux, Void Smooth Brain at 75 Robux, and Glass Head at 150 Robux, which makes the head transparent rather than removing it. Beebom also says there are no headless items on the marketplace for 1 Robux, and that anything advertised that way is fake.

There are free workarounds too, and they come with caveats. Beebom documents one in the Berry Avenue experience: open the Avatar menu, go to Equipped, choose Import ID, and enter 134082579 to equip a Headless Head in that game only. That is a game-specific import, not something you own on your account. Beebom also documents a PC method that involves moving the heads folder out of Roblox's local content directory, and it warns up front that moving game files can stop Roblox from launching. That is why the Marketplace is the only route worth taking.

Scams to avoid

Because the bundle is expensive, seasonal, and well known, it attracts scammers every October. Three patterns come up repeatedly.

- Anyone promising a free Headless Horseman generator or a code is lying. There is no promo code for it and no free version.
- A listing priced below 31,000 Robux from a random user is a knock-off or a scam, not a discount. The genuine bundle is only ever sold by the verified Roblox account.
- Half head accessories that claim to hide your head do not work the way the real item does. Roblox Den warns that they either show a full head or look obviously wrong once equipped, and that Roblox has cracked down on them, so even one that works today may be patched tomorrow.

Timesaver makes the same point about the cheap "300 Robux with Plus" clips you see on video platforms. Those confuse the Headless Horseman with an unrelated cheap face item. Plus shaves 10 to 20 percent off, not 99 percent.

FAQ

How much is the Headless Horseman in 2026?
31,000 Robux, bought from the Roblox Marketplace. That price has held across every Halloween run since 2013 except the 2015 Memorial Day Sale, when it was 24,800.

When can I buy it?
October only. The wiki's table lists the 2026 run as starting October 1 and still available at the time of writing. Historically it has gone off sale between October 30 and November 6, so do not wait until the last day.

Is there a code for the Headless Horseman?
No. There is no promo code and no free version. You buy it with Robux from the Marketplace during its sale window.

Does Roblox Plus make it cheaper?
Yes, by 10 percent at the standard tier, roughly 27,900 Robux, and up to 20 percent, roughly 24,800 Robux, after several consecutive months of membership. That is the only legitimate way to pay less than 31,000 Robux directly from Roblox.

Can I trade it or sell it later for profit?
No. It is a seasonal re-release, not a Limited with a capped supply, so it does not carry a rising resale price. Roblox Den states the bundle and its individual pieces are not tradable, which rules out the resale route entirely.

Is the Hollow Horseman the same thing?
It is a separate, newer version of the bundle that Roblox released during October 2026. The wiki lists the two separately, so check which one you are looking at in the catalog.
