- Forsaken is a free asymmetric survival horror game on Roblox. One player is the Killer, up to 8 are Survivors, and the round is decided by a clock.
- The round timer starts at 3:00 with 4 or fewer players, 3:30 with 5, and 4:00 with 6 or more. Every kill the Killer lands adds 40 seconds.
- Survivors fight the clock by solving generator puzzles. Each finished puzzle removes 2.4 seconds, a full generator removes 12, and all five remove a full minute.
- The roster has 8 Killers and 13 Survivors, split into Sentinels, Supports, and Survivalists. Several starters on both sides are free.
- There is no redeem-code system. You earn Player Points in public matches and spend them on characters, skins, and emotes.
Forsaken is an asymmetric multiplayer survival horror game released on December 25, 2024 by the Forsaken Dev Team, currently led by Erin and owned by Hytok0 and cowoika, according to the Official Forsaken Wiki.[1] In every round, up to 8 Survivors must survive against one Killer until the timer reaches zero, and both sides have their own abilities for hunting or escaping.[1]
The cast is pulled from Roblox myths and legends. Killers include 1x1x1x1, John Doe, Guest 666, and c00lkidd, while survivors include Shedletsky, Builderman, and Guest 1337.[2] It is available on every platform that runs Roblox: PC, mobile, Xbox, and PlayStation.[2]
The game has grown into one of the biggest experiences on the platform. As of mid-October 2026 it was sitting at the top of the Roblox trending charts with over 100,000 concurrent players and an 84% like ratio, and it carries the RIA 2025 Best Survival Experience award.[3][2]
How a Round Works: the Clock Is the Whole Game
Most new players misunderstand the win condition. Survivors do not escape through a gate or revive each other indefinitely. They survive until the round timer hits zero, and the Killer tries to eliminate everyone before that happens.[1][2]
The starting time depends on server size:[2]
Players in the round | Starting clock
4 or fewer | 3:00
5 | 3:30
6 or more | 4:00
The two sides move the clock in opposite directions. Each survivor the Killer eliminates adds 40 seconds to the clock, which is why a Killer who is losing can still pull out a win by finding one more chase.[2] Survivors move the clock down by working the generators. Every completed generator puzzle removes 2.4 seconds, a full generator removes 12 seconds, and clearing all five removes a full minute off the clock.[2]
When only one survivor is left, Last Man Standing triggers. The timer resets to 1 minute 14 seconds, the music changes, and the last survivor and the Killer are highlighted to each other for 6 seconds, then for 3 seconds every 10 seconds after that.[2] Any plan built on staying hidden expires the moment that happens.
Survivors: Classes, Free Starters, and Generator Work
Survivors are divided into three classes, and the difference matters more than the character you pick.[2]
- Sentinels (Shedletsky, Chance, Guest 1337, Two Time, Jane Doe) carry stuns and knockbacks. They are the survivors who can actually fight back.
- Supports (Elliot, Builderman, Taph, Dusekkar, and Helperbot, who joined on October 16, 2026 in update 5.3.0) provide healing, structures, and escape tools.
- Survivalists (Noob, 007n7, Veeronica) rely on pure mobility and cooldown timing rather than raw power.
Generator work is the core survivor objective. Every public map spawns five generators, and since version 5.1.0 each one is five 7x7 Numberlink wire puzzles.[2] Up to three survivors can work a single generator at once, from its front, left, and right.[2] Taking damage, walking away, or sprinting throws a survivor out of the puzzle, and re-entering generates fresh wires, which is why smart survivors bank progress instead of holding a generator heroically until the Killer shows up.[2]
Killers: the Roster and How the Pick Works
There are 8 killers on the main roster: John Doe, 1x1x1x1, c00lkidd, Nosferatu, Noli, Slasher (Jason), Guest 666, and Azure.[2] Azure is the newest, added in update 5.0.0 and bought in the shop for 2,000 Player Points. c00lkidd and Slasher are free, and the wiki lists The Stalker as the next planned killer.[2]
You do not queue for a role. The round picks the Killer automatically: whoever has the highest Malice plays killer and everyone else survives.[2] If you never want the role, the "Disable Being Killer" setting stops you from gaining Malice in the first place.[2]
A few killer fundamentals separate winning from losing:[2]
- Control the generators instead of chasing blindly. Patrol between them so you catch survivors mid-puzzle.
- Play mind games. Double back and fake directions to force survivors into bad paths.
- Time your ability. Every killer's power runs on a cooldown, so commit to it or save it.
- Listen for footsteps. Most survivors make them, but Dusekkar levitates silently and Two Time's Crouch silences movement, so against those two you need your eyes more than your ears.
- Play both roles. Learning how killers think makes you a better survivor, and vice versa.
- Walk the maps in a private server first. There are 19 public maps and nothing is at stake there, so you can learn where the five generators sit without a killer behind you.[2]
- Watch your stamina. Sprinting drains 10 stamina a second for survivors, so sprint into strong loops and save the bar for the moments you actually need it.[2]
- Use sound. Headphones help. Chase themes, footsteps, and even the glitching noise a Noli fake generator makes all carry information.[2]
- Pick a free starter. Shedletsky and Elliot are rated 2 out of 5 for difficulty on the survivor side, and Slasher (Jason) is the recommended free starting killer.[2]
- Do not panic loop. Run circles around structures that actually slow killers down instead of burning stamina on open ground.[2]
How long is a Forsaken match?
The clock is 3:00 with 4 or fewer players, 3:30 with 5, and 4:00 with 6 or more. Kills add 40 seconds each and finished generator puzzles remove 2.4 seconds each, so real matches stretch beyond the base time. There is no fixed average length.[2]
Does Forsaken have codes?
No. There is no redeem-code system. Every character is bought with Player Points earned in public matches, and the only real free-reward sources are playing public rounds and leveling. Any video promising free codes is not based on a real mechanic.[2]
How do Player Points work?
You earn them only in public matches. A round you survive pays 25, dying after at least 60 seconds pays 10, each kill as killer pays 10, a killer wipe pays 40, and a killer who fails to wipe still gets 15. Private servers pay nothing.[2]
What items can survivors use in a public round?
Two. The Medkit restores 80 HP over a 7 second use, and Bloxy Cola grants Speed II for 10 seconds. Both spawn at marked spots chosen randomly each round. The Flashlight, weapons, and other consumables are private-server only, so you cannot plan a strategy around holding a specific item.[2]
Can I disable being the killer?
Yes. Turn on "Disable Being Killer" in Settings and you stop gaining Malice, so the round never picks you for the role. There is no role queue beyond that.[2]
Is Forsaken a good game for new players?
Survivor onboarding tends to feel faster because teammates share the killer's attention while you learn the maps. Killer takes longer because you are alone and each survivor has a fixed kit rather than perks to memorize. There is also a new-player pool that sends players with under 24 hours of playtime into exclusive servers, so the very first rounds are gentler.[2]
