Heavyweight Fishing Complete Guide (October 2026): Rods and Power, Traits, Skills, Codes, and Islands
Quick Summary
  • Heavyweight Fishing is the fastest rising Roblox experience this week, with 12.1K players in game on October 23, 2026.
  • It is made by Unknown Journey and built around rods, traits, skills, islands and sea bosses.
  • Progression is gated by rod Power. You need 19 Power for Bamboo Isle, 32 for Fallout Isle, 39 for Sovereign Isle, 48 for Perch Isle, 55 for Frost Isle, 65 for Coconut Isle and 75 for Amber Isle.
  • Codes are the fastest early boost, but the code lists from different trackers disagree, so treat any single list as a snapshot.
  • The most valuable traits are the four 0.1% legendaries, led by Azure Dragon at 150% damage plus 20% cooldown.
What Heavyweight Fishing Is

Heavyweight Fishing is a Roblox fishing adventure from the Unknown Journey team. The pitch is bigger fish, real boss fights, and a map you explore island by island instead of standing at one dock. The experience sits at 30.7M visits, 69.9K favorites and a 95.8% positive rating, with about 12.3K players online.

The developers list themselves as Unknown Journey, with Tom_Iceren credited as owner, Haw as community manager and several contractors including Riku, yvlyf, 049492, aether, Thomasu and atomzz24. Riku shows up again as a code name below, which is a small detail people use to spot which codes came from the devs directly.

The game is free to play and every island, rod and boss is reachable without paying. What the paid path buys is time.

The Progression Rule That Explains Everything

Almost every wall in Heavyweight Fishing is a rod Power check. The BloxInformer island pages print the requirement per island, and it climbs in a straight line:
  • Beginning Isle: spawn, tutorial, no Power requirement
  • Bamboo Isle: 19 Power
  • Fallout Isle: 32 Power
  • Sovereign Isle: 39 Power
  • Perch Isle: 48 Power
  • Frost Isle: 55 Power
  • Coconut Isle: 65 Power
  • Amber Isle: 75 Power
Bamboo Isle is where most players hit the first real wall. The wiki flags it at 19 Power, and the second isle is only reachable by boat. Two rods on Beginning Isle clear that bar on paper: Enchanted Steel Rod carries Power 19 and costs 2,000 cash. In practice, the cash is the problem, not the stat.

Rods, Costs and Stats

There are 27 rods on the BloxInformer list. Here is the full ladder, grouped by where you buy them. Costs are cash, Luck and Power are the two stats the wiki prints.
  • Beginning Island: Bamboo Rod (100 cash, Luck 5, Power 11), Iron Hook Rod (500, Luck 10, Power 13), Steel Rod (1,000, Luck 11, Power 17), Enchanted Steel Rod (2,000, Luck 12, Power 19)
  • Bamboo Island: Alloy Rod (5,000, Luck 5, Power 22), Emerald Rod (10,000, Luck 10, Power 25), Bloodfire Rod (20,000, Luck 10, Power 27), Shadow Rod (60,000, Luck 22, Power 29)
  • Fallout Isle: Triple Steel Rod (100,000, Luck 20, Power 32), Golden Rod (200,000, Luck 22, Power 35)
  • Sovereign Isle: Grandmaster Steel Rod (250,000, Luck 10, Power 37), Grandmaster Emerald Rod (500,000, Luck 15, Power 39), Grandmaster Golden Rod (1,000,000, Luck 30, Power 45), Inferno Rod (1,500,000, Luck 18, Power 48)
  • Perch Isle: Steel Spine Rod (1,500,000, Luck 22, Power 48), Golden Spine Rod (2,000,000, Luck 21, Power 51), Platinum Spine Rod (3,000,000, Luck 24, Power 54), Diamond Spine Rod (4,000,000, Luck 25, Power 56)
  • Frost Isle: Gravisteel Rod (5,000,000, Luck 15, Power 58), Auric Gravity Rod (6,000,000, Luck 10, Power 60), Inferno Gravity Rod (7,000,000, Luck 20, Power 62), Cryo Gravity Rod (8,000,000, Luck 36, Power 65, quest from the Frost Isle rod seller)
  • Coconut Isle: Thunder Thorn Rod (10,000,000, Luck 30, Power 67), Soul Thorn Rod (20,000,000, Luck 19, Power 75, quest from the Coconut Isle rod seller)
  • Amber Isle: Starlight Rod (60,000,000, Luck 15, Power 83)
  • Craftable at any Rod Seller: Heavenpiercer Rod (Luck 36, Power 100), Pure Diamond Rod (Luck 30, Power 100)
Three things stand out when you read that ladder side by side.

First, Luck and Power do not move together. Steel Spine Rod gives Power 48 and Luck 22. Inferno Rod gives the same Power 48 for the same 1,500,000 cash with Luck 18. You are paying the same money for less Luck, so Luck-hunting and Power-gating pull you toward different rods.

Second, the two craftable rods are the only ones at Power 100. Heavenpiercer and Pure Diamond both cap out there and neither has a cash price listed. They are crafted at any Rod Seller.

Third, two rods are quest-locked rather than bought. Cryo Gravity Rod needs a Frost Isle rod seller quest and Soul Thorn Rod needs a Coconut Isle rod seller quest. Every island has a Rod Seller NPC, and they are either a shop or a craft station depending on which rod you want.

Traits, Skills and Banners

Traits are passive buffs applied to skills, one passive per skill, rerolled with Trait Crystals at an NPC called Nanjiang who stands on every island.
  • Powerful (30%): 5% damage
  • Swift (30%): 4% cooldown
  • Sharp (30%): 5% crit chance
  • Berserk (15%): 15% damage
  • Rapid (15%): 8% cooldown
  • Precision (15%): 15% crit chance
  • Executioner (2%): 25% damage, 10% cooldown
  • Chrono (2%): 20% cooldown, 10% damage
  • Assassin (2%): 25% crit chance, 50% crit damage
  • Azure Dragon (0.1%): 150% damage, 20% cooldown, 75% damage below 50% HP, skill bypasses invincibility below 40% HP
  • Black Tortoise (0.1%): 15% max HP heal, 30% damage, skill inflicts stun, 20s invincibility below 20% HP
  • White Tiger (0.1%): 50% crit chance, 100% crit damage, +5% crit chance per stack up to 30% on skill cast
  • Vermillion Bird (0.1%): 50% cooldown, 30% damage, skill cast resets cooldown once per battle
The percentages in brackets are the roll weights, not bonuses. Four legendaries sit at 0.1%, which is why trait reroll codes get so much attention.

Skills come from two banners, Taiji and Egoless. The pity ladder is 30 summons for a guaranteed Legendary, 120 for a guaranteed Mythical and 1,000 for a Secret. Summons cost Tickets or Crystals.
  • Skyfall Stomp: stuns fish 2s, deals damage
  • Taijiquan Technique: stuns 10s, deals damage per second
  • Leopard Lock: stuns 10s, deals 2 damage per second
  • Whirlwind Fishing Art: immune to boss skill damage, reflects current damage, stuns 12s
  • Iron Grip Art: stuns 10s, deals 1 damage per second
  • Dual Sonic Kick: current damage per second for up to 10s
  • Shangqing Realm: immune to boss skill damage, bypasses boss invincibility, current damage, stuns 4s
  • Heaven's Burden: immune to boss skill damage, stuns 10s, heals 25 HP, current damage per second
  • Tiger's Hunt: rod Power +30 for 15s, current damage per second
  • Ruinous Sacrifice: immune to boss skill damage, rod Power +999 for 10s, current damage per second, drains 20 HP per second
  • Vajra Godcast: immune to boss skill damage, current damage, stuns 7s, then 50% of current damage after 5s
Ruinous Sacrifice is the one that gets talked about. A flat Power +999 for 10 seconds is the only skill that can brute-force a Power gate you have not met yet. The cost is 20 HP per second for the duration, so it is a short burst, not a sustain tool.

Controls are movement on W, S, A, D, the hotbar on 1 through 4 and up, skills on Z, X, C, V, fishing on the left mouse button and NPC interaction on E.

Codes: What Actually Works Right Now

This is where the trackers diverge, and it is worth being blunt about it. Three pages published in the same week disagree on which codes are live.

Beebom lists these as active, updated October 23, 2026:
  • 85KLikes: free rewards, requires level 100
  • Riku: 1x cash, 1x ticket, 1x reroll, 1x crystal
  • SON: 67x cash
  • 25KActives: free rewards, requires level 500
  • VermilionBird: free rewards, requires level 500
  • 80KLikes: free rewards, requires level 100
  • AXO: free rewards, requires level 50
  • HWF: free rewards
  • Welcome: free rewards, requires level 20
Pro Game Guides, updated October 17, 2026, lists a shorter set of eight and gives AXO a different reward: 300 trait rerolls behind 1,000 rolls in Axo's RNG game. Radio Times, published October 15, 2026, lists 23KActives, VermilionBird, 55MVisits, 80KLikes, Welcome, HWF and AXO, and describes HWF as the Golden Starwing Rod rather than generic free rewards.

Insider Gaming carries a milestone block from 23MVisits through 45KLikes with explicit rewards on the likes codes, and Radio Times puts 41KLikes, 42KLikes, 43KLikes, 44KLikes and 45KLikes on the expired list. Two pages published in the same week, one calling them active and one calling them dead.

The heavyweight-fishing wiki is more cautious and more useful because it says so. It labels its own list as reported availability rather than a guarantee, and points at the Beebom list as the current reference. It also flags the reward descriptions as vague for the visit milestone codes, which matches what Radio Times and Pro Game Guides print: free rewards with nothing more specific.

The practical read: try the codes that appear on more than one current list first, expect the level gates, and do not burn time on a code a tracker has already retired. Redeeming is case sensitive and each code is single use.

How to Redeem a Code, and Why It Fails
  1. Launch Heavyweight Fishing and let your character finish loading.
  2. Click the Code icon on the left side of the screen to open the code box.
  3. Type or paste one code. Match the capitalisation exactly.
  4. Press Redeem and check the reward actually landed.
The failure list is short and most of it is not your fault:
  • Case sensitivity. A lowercase version of a mixed-case code is rejected outright.
  • Level gates. Codes marked level 20, 50, 100, 200, 400 or 500 do nothing until you are there.
  • Server age. Several trackers note that codes only work on newer servers. If a code looks valid and fails, leave and rejoin.
  • Already redeemed. Each code is single use per account.
  • Expired. This is the common one. Codes like ThanksForNitroBoost, Enzo, 40KLikes, CodeBug, PEAK and 21MVisits are on retired lists.
Getting the Full Guide Out of the Game

The game's own progression loop is fishing, quests, XP and cash, with the Fish Index as the collection target. The wiki's advice is to keep fishing and upgrading the rod before moving to the next island, and to look for the next island around level 10.

Islands are reached through the Compass icon on the left of the screen. Pick the destination and follow the arrow; that is the only navigation step and it works the same way for every island.
  • Beginning Isle: Trout, Catfish, Crimson Catfish, Emerald Carp, Crimson Carp, Tilapia, Golden Carp, Royal Carp, Arrogant Fish, Platinum Carp, Volt Grass Carp, Azure Carp
  • Bamboo Isle: Hroned Silver Carp, Blackfin Grass Carp, Crimsonfin Grass Carp, Goldfin Grass Carp, Rosefin Grass Carp, Azurefin Grass Carp, Sovereign Grass Carp, Dragonhead Tilapia, Elder Dragonhead Tilapia
  • Fallout Isle: Spiked Salmon, Platescale Tilapia, Azure Salmon, Sunscale Salmon, Runic Horn Grouper, Ironhorn Flounder
  • Sovereign Isle: Boundeye Fish, Baby Jialong Dragonfish, Gold Crucian Carp, Dragonstride Carp, Terratiger Depthfish I through III, Adult Jialong Dragonfish, Elder Chainbound Shark, Elder Jialong Dragonfish, Trueform Jialngfish
  • Perch Isle: Elder Perch I through VIII, Ascended Perch
  • Frost Isle: Fleshripper Fish, Kunfish I through III, Adult Kunfish, Elder Kunfish, Primordial Kunfish
  • Coconut Isle: Armored Battlefish, Darkness Battlefish, Dragon Battlefish, Phantom Battlefish, Crimson War Carp, Emerald War Carp, Mutated Koi Whale
  • Amber Isle: Sand Anchovy, Abyssal Glow Fish, Lapis Fish, Grass Tilapia, Scarlet Frinehead, Stormscale Tautog, Darkscale Fish, Radiant Goldfish, Deadmare Eel, Toxic Chromatic Koi
That is eight islands with fish on each, which matches the game page's own framing of mysterious islands to explore.

FAQ
  • Is Heavyweight Fishing free to play? Yes. It is free on Roblox and the core fishing, islands and bosses are all reachable without paying. Optional in-game purchases exist.
  • What is the best Heavyweight Fishing code to use first? Try the codes with no level gate first, then work up. The visit and likes codes carry level requirements from 20 to 500, so a fresh account cannot claim them yet.
  • Why does my code not work even though it is on a list? Check the capitalisation, check your level against the gate, then rejoin a newer server. Several trackers note codes only work on newer servers, and every code is single use.
  • How do I reach Amber Isle? You need 75 rod Power. Starlight Rod is the Amber Isle rod and carries Power 83 for 60,000,000 cash, so it clears the gate on its own.
  • Which traits should I keep? The four 0.1% legendaries: Azure Dragon, Black Tortoise, White Tiger and Vermillion Bird. Azure Dragon is the one people chase, at 150% damage, 20% cooldown and invincibility bypass below 40% HP.
  • How do I unlock the top rods? Heavenpiercer Rod and Pure Diamond Rod are crafted at any Rod Seller rather than bought, and both sit at Power 100. Cryo Gravity Rod and Soul Thorn Rod are quest-locked behind the Frost Isle and Coconut Isle rod sellers.
